I heard a lot of people talkin about him and his ANNOYING offense so I thought i'd do a quick write up. I've played him b/f and he was TOTALLY different on offense. Cool guy, annoying offense but played the game straight. I won 49-35.
Used Chargers, but will use any team with an accurate QB and tall WR's. Put Gates and LT in at WR and used Michael Turner and his truck stick to run HB inside.
Started out the game with a pretty balanced attack utilizing HB inside for the most part and mixing in a couple random runs (FB dive) and passes (crossers) out of 2RB 2 WR sets. Pretty much abandoned the run after getting down early in the game, although he will run HB inside with a mean lead block on any short yardage situation.
Once down or maybe just to mix it up he went to 5 WR spread (The Ruler Wrath Offense). Ran exclusively one play and ran ONLY QP (literally threw it the second he snapped it). So there is no point in blitzing. Hit QP to EVERY WR, outsides, slots, even motioned the RB out to hit him with a QP. Did not jetpack, this was just a high QP.
I used the Rams and zones got destroyed. Even Cov 2 zones werent getting a good enough bump to slow down the QP. Found a counter to get a nasty bump on ALL WR's which is your only shot. He's pretty good at recognition so he'll ID the WR (s) who are not getting bumped and QP you to death until you adjust.
Will roll out even with slow QB's so it makes sense to randomly send one or two defenders from the outside to keep him contained every now and then. Offense was very tough to stop, but only used a few plays so if you can find out how to stop them, you're gonna have a good shot at winning.
On defense he brings a lot of pressure. Mostly from the right side. Runs the 34 and WILL get to your QB. Will leave the flats open so you have to exploit them to get the ball outta your QB's hands quickly. When hurt in the flats and when he backs off of bringing pressure he will primarily run cover 2 zones. If you're good at recognizing this adjustment and know how to attack a cov 2, you can hurt him and keep him off balance.
He will make adjustments and mix it up on defense. You MUST get positive yardarge on 1st down. If he puts you in a known passing situation you better watch out b/c the heat is coming and it'll be hard to get enough time to let your routes develop.
Overall, a good player. Good user skills but he didnt really show them on offense since it was just a bunch of high QP's. Good users on D but if you recognize what he's doing you can make sure he's outta position with good play calling to combat the user skills.
