FPS is frames per second. The difference could be seen by making a flip book with a stick man in it. 1 with 30 pages and 1 with 60 pages. Then flip through each book in the matter of a second. The 60 is smoother because there are more pages. 60 is much smoother than 30. ps3 will be 30, 360 will be 60
