View Full Version : What i found out by playing madden 08 for 3 weeks...
my updated version.....
i either play somebody that WR double passes most the game
d-line glitches/nano blitzes the whole game
fumbles happen way too often
almost everybody calls timeouts on non-fumbles
most peoples only offense is spectacular catch
people lag my field goal attemps somehow
and onside kicks are way too freakin easy
so either play people you know...or play halo 3/call of duty 4

my time to shine now....all the cheesers will have to come up with some new stick skills cuz all their bs will be gone this year. i bet a lot of ppl stay with madden 07 just cuz the cheap **** will be done with in 08. howd u play 08 already by the way? i know ur a madden challenge winner and all, whatd ea do send u a copy early cuz ur a player of high status?
Ah Heartbroken about no FB dive no more but dont worry to all u guys out there I still have an effective offense. And he was on Madden Nation which was played on 08. So let me stop all the questions now before there asked he cant say anything about Madden Nation you have to wait til Oct 9. He repped the Jets and met Vilma thats all the info he can give out.

Your time to shine? Just because the defensive A.I. is much better doesn't mean all of the bs is gone forever. I've got a feeling Madden '08 will eventually expose a new set of arcade-like strategies that'll make sim'ers mad.
no i just say my time to shine cuz im one of the only str8 players left. i never got with the whole jetpack rocket catch or any other exploits. my runs are all done out of different i forms. the only time i goalline is when im on the goalline or if someone nanos me to where its impossible to run out of i. and as far as nanos, i dont use em, i use straight blitzes that force huge pressure but theyre not the bs that have the lbs storm straight thru the middle. id say out of the 60 or 70 people ive played, 10 were actually str8. and 4-5 of the 10 were high level, good record players, so its rare that people have good records and dont use every exploit in the game. nanos just fool the def ai... what im saying is if the def ai is better this year hopefully the nanos will be less effective. dont get me wrong tho, im sure someone will find a new blend of exploits in 08, but bit by bit the designers at ea are taking care of all the possibilities of new glitches and cheap plays.

Well, the rocket catch is back for '08 and there's already been talk of good receivers still being able to jetpack, so there would have to be some pretty good stick skill involved in breaking those up. Goalline glitching is probably gone, though.
You said nanos fool the defensive A.I., don't you mean offensive A.I.? With defensive playmaker and no random blitz angles, I'd say nanos are still gonna be here.
ok rhoads i got a question for u. ive been wondering this alot, is there any plays in 08 that are almost unstoppable, like a slot cross or a HB wheel, where all u have to do is read the D and someone will b open? and how many people were on madden nation that we would know of (we as in people on this site). and if there were some who were they?
true, i forgot about def playmaker, thats gonna cause a lot of good d this year, nanos dont really bother me tho cause theyre easy to counter most of the time. and yeah i did mean off ai i tried editing the post but it didnt happen. jetpackng will still be available but ur risking fumbles n picks by the midair collisions. as long as theres no stupid dc glitch like in 06 or the freeze glitch i could care less

ok im going to sound like a noob but what is jetpacking can someone please tell me
(all my games were played on all-madden)
-the gameplay is a lot more like current gen now, especially the speed and smoothness of the players
-hot teams...chargers, patriots, ravens, bears, rams
-goalline is not very effective at all, gang tackling is crazyy good
-going for it on 4th down is tough...fb dives and off-tackle is not automatic anymore
-jetpacking is risky...u can get drilled and picked off the deflection
-defensive A.I. is extremely good this year...its very rare to throw the deep ball now
-if you try running the same play over and over...smart players will read your play and shut it down
-mobile qb's get fatigued faster...so their not as effective as they used to be
madden 08 is a whole lot different then madden 07 for 360...it took me a while to adjust...their will be a lot of top players dropping off, and new top players coming in

I'm going to make sure to win a lot of $$ playing madden 08 before all of the glitches because with all of the new features god knows what kind of glitches are going to be exploited, and I think the most used team this year will be the Patriots because from what i heard rocket catch/spectacular catch with moss will be pretty much unstoppable even if u mid air colission + they have stallworth on the other side but then again maybe thats just all talk idk we will see soon enough.
well unabateddroxx will not be number 1 next yr because no more goaline and jet packing

Jrhoads, what do you got to say about these 3 points regarding madden 08 since you have played the game.
-Not enough time to choose plays on defense. Only gives you 7 seconds like with NCAA. The new play call screen makes this even worse
-Play call screen button lag and depth chart lag are apparent such as they were in NCAA
-When the offensive user zooms the camera out it freezes the defensive user from switching the player they are controlling
is the gameplay alot like the gameplay of ncaa 08, or is it more like madden 07, and plays like slot cross and HB wheel work as well in 08 as they did in 07
madden 08 is a whole lot different then madden 07 for 360...it took me a while to adjust...their will be a lot of top players dropping off, and new top players coming in
To me this is a deal breaker. I will not buy the gm unless ninobrown can be in the top 10
how about the qb animation on offense? i hope that i don't have to stare at the qb's face against glitchers for one more year. that's what happens when you let some hippie design the game...lol as far as i can see EA JUST DOESN'T GET IT
don't get your hopes too high guys. with anything new comes glitches. i just hope that it is easier to play defense this year. a 6 - 0 game sounds good to me

the qb animation is gone now...and if you watch madden nation this year you will see a lotta 6-0, 3-0, 10-7 type games...but we were playing 2 or 3 minute games on all-madden also
That is awesome no luck deep passes, no running the QB like crazy, better AI, more smooth, and great graphics what more can you ask for. No more cheezers...the real players will shine....Cannnot wait

Hey you can CHALLENGE the play that is something BIG to me anyway... :dance2
And you can create your own team with stadium and play online using your own team...I guess you are worried about the servers...

there will be a freeze glitch on d , come out in a special teams play audible to quarter , press a+ x it freezes , my dad mworks for ea and he got the game early ... you mad?

How do you get to the show? What is it that gets you there? Ranked wins or what... I cant seem to get any legitimate games they either see my non rank or madden skill and leave. I'm havnt been to much of a madden online gamer intill recently. There is to much cheating going on in all games but in shooter games its some what tolerable compared to sports. So this is why im not ranked, I posted a pretty good 07 record but lost focus due to all the cheating. How do you roll up ranks fast?

fa sho, i had J on my friends list, and never knew when dude was on haha, i chacked a couple times and saw he was on, but never got the chance to play him, J if you see this hit me up when 09 rolls around in less than a day
