Hey guys, has anyone of you ever made a rookie with a starting OVR of 99, I somehow made one, just for fun I created a fullback called jawbreaker jenkins, he didnt have all that good stats i thought, but the teams loved him!!! His four predraft practices were all on All-madden difficulty during the interviews they asked him all sorts of new questions... and for once the coaches only saw nice things about him on the homepage....
I personnally think hes a decent all-round player, but nothing spectacular...
has anyone else tried that?
yea i had a 99 over all RB playing for the steelers
TE and FB are easy to get 99 OVR coming out of the draft in superstar mode..
the points system is such crap..
i liked the parents choosing thing better.
the positions i usually like to play (QB, HB, WR) i can never get a rating above 79 out of the draft...
but with most defensive positions, its easy to get a decent rating...
why are those three so seemingly rigged?
Ive had QB and HB with a rating around mid80's but, what bothers me about the system is that you cant make a character that is really decent, your HB is either fast or breaks tackles... and that is even if your AWR trait is around 40, i like that you can choose your own stats, but for some of them there are a few too few points... i tried making a scrambling QB, thats nigh impossible, you cannot choose your acceleration, so after practicing four times 40y dash i ended up with 59 acceleration, and i could barely get past the line of scrimmage.He might be able to run really fast, but it takes him half a footballfield to get to topspeed...
but I still play my FB, he got drafted by the colts, and now i have him play TE, hes pretty good at it...
I did really good in the first drill and got 95ovr qb
FB is the easiest to get a 99 on, don't feel all special. Some of the big positions like QB, WR, HB, is hard as hell to even reach 80 on.
They had to change the parents thing, because everyone (including me) just chose a QB who's dad was a Hall of Famer and, boom, your starting OVR is 90+.
it really is nearly impossible to get a QB or HB above 80 Overall.
Your HB is either a Faster Smarter HB or a Tough as Nails but Slow as **** HB.But here is a quick tip to save some points.If you max our Strength or Pass Block you only get 3 points added to your overall score so there is no point in wasting a few hundred for it.
For a QB i keep all his stats the same except i boosted his Throwing Accuracy and Power to 95 cause you get mad overall points for higher Power and Accuracy.Awareness is pointless to raise because its raised during the preseason and Draft if you want to do that.

I think he's talking about having a 99 ovr RB after so many seasons... w/ rookie your right, it's impossible.
ive gotten a 98 qb as a rookie, but i have never gotten anythin gover 78 on rb or wr

i played darren mcfaddens junior year in ncaa 08 and won the heismen. he cam out as a 91 over all

yea i had a 96 ovr rb on ps2 rookie year with the awr glitch put ur awr at zero then let the iq test run out so u get 0% and after ur awr will be 99
hey i have a ps2 and i got my qb 99 ovr as a rookie but i took him throung ncaa 08 for 3 years
I've gotten a 96 OVR RB using the AWR glitch...
The highest REAL OVR I've ever gotten was 92 for a Strong Safety.
I have yet to try the Awareness glitch on a QB. And a WR. And every other position.

A good way to do it with a funner position is to create him in NCAA 08. You just get them better and better and then bring them in to Madden. But I wonder if y'all consider that cheating.
If creating a superstar over 90 OVR is that important to you, just go create a player as good as you want, then goto superstar mode and pick play as rookie and pick your created player..
Today I made a bunch of superstars, and I used the AWR glitch, here they are:

LOLB Kevin Marshall #56 Jets 99 OVR

CB Reggie Daniels #35 Dolphins 99 OVR
That glitch will do wonders for you.
I must be very lucky because on my 2nd superstar is a 99 QB. I didn't use a glitch. I did a 6.3s dash, 17 reps and 10,000 points drill.
But he got draft by the chiefs =(
