raising stats on franchise

every week i continue to train a few of my players, and after it says plus one the following week the stat remains the same again and again, how do i get it to actually go up?

Stat raises are only permanent in Training Camp, in the beginning of the season. Use it wisely.

You just have to be patient. Take your team to the playoffs and in the off season you will see the stats go up
