View Full Version : SuperStar mode WR, help anyone
i got a really good WR in superstar mode, im in my second year, i have weapons for speed, spectacular catch, possession catch, stiff arm, Quick reciever and hands, so he guy is very good, my huge problem is that QB's have issues getting me the ball and a lot of times throws the ball to places im not even going, example; if im suppose to run a hook, i run my hook turn around and call for the ball and when i do half the time he'll throw like im running a streak, or if i run a streak and i'm open by 2 or 3 steps and call for the ball my QB throws the ball where i was and doesn't lead me so i can make the catch and it usually gets pick or i get lucky and come back for it and catch it. so does anyone know how to get the QB to lead me when i run my routes so i don't have so many interceptions against me and to also stop throwing bullet passes and maybe loby them so when run a C route (from starting position to middle of field and then to the sideline) so those don't get picked too, anything would be a great help thanks>
Sorry man. You're probably out of luck. The QB A.I. has a lot of problems, and that's one of them. Wayyyyyyy too many interceptions. It's not your fault, it's EA's. The QB A.I. has to be fixed for 09.
wat team do u play for, cuz i got a wr drafted to the packers, and favre is always hitting me in stride or perfectly time in a hook route. he's actually never thrown a pick while throwing my way. so maybe it has to do with the qb? or ive just been lucky so far

I play as a WR for the Pats and i have poss. spec. hands. route. stiff arm. and everything else, except for speed
really, if you dont like your route, just go to another rote (as in, run where u think you'll be open) then wave and the QB will throw to you.
if its a QB problem (because Brady= few ints) save, ask for a trade, if the team has a good QB in accuracy stay, if not then quit without saving and try again
i played with Brett Farve for my first season, got upset, and then in my second season demanded a trade and i'm playing with tony romo and i'm still having the same issues with to many Int.
And how do you highlight your route, and i know how to call for the ball and stuff.
on PS2 L1 calls for the ball but i,ve found that u shouldn't do that if the qb is already looking near you cuz he releases to fast and my guys sill has 1 hand waving and misses the catch
Just run to a open area on the field, and call for the ball. The QB will make bad throws sometimes, just go back out next possesion and call for the ball again.
Maybe if you switch your position in the lineup[from wr1 to wr2 or vice-versa] it'll help you. I was reading this one blog and the guy had a problem getting the ball to his side of the ball as a cb and when he ended up getting moved to the other side of the field when he got moved up in the lineup, he no longer had the problem because of where the qbs he was going up against were throwing the ball.
I have the same issues i have played with Tom Brady and he cant even throw lob passes in stride and I have 99 speed so every time im doing a streak I can easily get passed the DB put I have to turn and jump up to catch the ball wich slows me down and instead of a sure TD i get like a 30 yard gain. It pisses me off in 09 I hope they fix tha.
When I Play WR on Superstar mode I dont even call for the ball and the QB throws it to me perfectly everytime

I'm in my 2nd year with my Superstar WR, and just demanded a trade from the niners cause smith was averaging 3 ints a game. Maybe I was calling for the ball when covered, but you would think the QB AI would be good enough to overlook me in those situations. I just started my 2nd preseason with the panthers. We'll see how it goes, though it seems tough getting the ball with steve smith on the other side. Delhomme seems to be a more accurate QB. I was experiencing situation where i was to run a square out route and was thrown the ball as though i was running a fly. Other times, I may be running a slant, with the defender a step or so ahead of me, and instead of throwing the ball behind the defender to me, the ball is thrown so far in front of me that I can't even dive to catch it... INT. Also, the coordinator AI seems lax. Why, facing a 3rd and 13 at our own 25, would any offensive coordinator in their right mind call an outside toss? Not to mention all the times we chickened out on fourth and short at midfield or better when we NEED a TD. Hopefully, I'll have better luck with the panthers. So far so good, as I showed up steve smith with 10 catches for 80yds in our first preseason game. Like anything else, I think the answer to this issue is a little skill and a lot of luck.

I have the problems to. I made a WR, 98 speed and somewhat good catching. My overall is 94. I was drafted to the Falcons and they run it alot, about 65% running and rest passing. But when they pass, if they throw it to me its like 2 sec after hike and im not opened. But after about 5 sec i will be opened down field but he not pass it to me. So its not working for me either.
