View Full Version : Who Should Miami Draft

I think it should be McFadden, I know many will disagree, but is Ricky going to even play and be productive? Can he stay healthy? Will he actually pass a drug test? Nobody knows about Ricky. Also I feel DMC should be drafted first, because Miami's whole offense is based on running the ball. And quite frankly, I don't blame them, why would anyone trust John Beck to throw the ball.

So just reply back with who you think Miami should draft first with the Number 1 pick.

Why would they take a RB first, when they just took a running back as their 1st round pick #3 3 years ago. Ronnie Brown is more then capable of producing a great season, and they should take a defensive player Chris Long, Glenn Dorsey, or Vernon Gholston.

Agreed with Everything Madness said... Ronnie Brown is solid, and even Ricky should be good if he can get/ and stay healthy! Showed he still somewhat healthy for the few plays he had a chance to Run! Chris Long, Glenn Dorsey, and Vernon Gholston would all be good name to beef up there Defense from the loss of *Thomas!

2nd and 3rd rounds they need to think about Wr and even possibly a Qb... Cause Beck ain't going to be able to get it done unless they get him some more weapons!

Ronnie Brown was the number two pick actually. I do agree with you, but what I am saying is that DMC would be a great addition to the team and you know he would. Regardless of whether we need him or not, he is a great player who will bring nothing but excitement, and explosiveness to the team. I know we need a D-lineman, an O-Lineman or two, and a Quarterback but you never know. Remember this is the same team who drafted Ginn over Quinn last year, and based the choice on mainly improving their special teams. Who knows? I'm very interested in what Parcells will do. But you guys seem to be missing the point, the whole reason why DMC would even be considered is if Ricky choses to not play, Brown or Williams gets injured, Ricky fails a drug test. You honestly need to consider those possibilities. Not to mention Miami's whole offense is based on running the ball.

So your reason for the Dolphins drafting McFadden is just in case Ronnie Brown gets hurt, and then if Ricky gets hurt/high?! That is a lot of money to pump into a player just in case your first two running backs don't make it. The Dolphins need to look at Jake Long or Chris Long. Jake Long could be an immediate fix and help out that line a lot. Just having him would allow the rest of the line to get better because Carey, the starting LT currently, could move to RT, where he is more natural. Then their RT could move inside and help out at one of the guard spots. All of a sudden the o-line has improved ten fold. Chris Long will be a key component in the 3-4 for the Dolphins for years to come. Not sure if Dorsey should be number one, but he is a stud and the fins got the Cowboys DT.
As for the rest of their picks I would go Jake Long #1, Sims in the 2nd round, and then maybe another DL or DB in the third. The Dolphins have a lot of work to do and are going to need a couple of years to make some progress.
As for John Beck if he is put in the right system this guy can be a stud. He is great with the short and intermediate routes, not so much the deep ball. Kind of reminds me a little of Trent Green, so that could be great for the Dolphins. Either way good luck, and hope the fins don't take McFadden #1

It might sound crazy, but I agree with the man. I think that McFadden and Brown would be a devastating combo. I mean Miami could really build the offense around having to stop 2 great backs. Imagine the 2RB sets...

I mean I think that Miami should try to trade it to Dallas for Barber and the two first rounders, but if they have to pick a player, why not get the best talent and most upside? And you can keep your franchise player (Ronnie Brown) fresh.

Are you not reading what I wrote, or are you just that ignorant? I know he is the wrong pick for the team, and I know it will not happen but what I am saying, if you actually read it is that McFadden would be an amazing addition to the team. Of course we have two solid RB's. Hell our 3rd stringer is damn good too. I know we need a Lineman, who doesn't know that, Miami fan or not. It is very apparent. Miami needs a lineman, not a running back, I know this. I should have restated the question. It should have just been who would you pick with the number pick. Not just Miami, but everyone in general. Overall DMC is the best player in the draft, without a doubt. Miami just doesn't need a RB, I know this. I would just like to see him on Miami.

I somewhat get your point that the best player in a draft would be an excellent addition to any team, I guess!?!? Anyways, to your new question, who should my team, the Chiefs, take with the number one pick? Without a doubt Jake Long!
The man in a stud. Sure it would be fun to add McFadden, but we have LJ and Smith. It'd be nice to have Chris Long or Gholston, but we have Hali and Allen, hopefully we get him signed very soon. Jake Long is the best choice, the most logical choice, and could make an immediate impact.

I'm sure you would love to have Jake Long. I hate to break it to you, but Miami is either going to draft Chris Long, or Jake Long with the first pick.

they dont need a rb... if they were solid at every position and just needed to get some then id take him. but their OLINE is garbage their DLINE is garbage.. soo jake long, chris long, glenn dorsey, or vernon gholston would be good. also look at the tackle from boise state. in the second round they should pick up a

lol taylor isnt going anywhere. That would be the worste decision parcells has ever made if he lets taylor walk away lol Hes a game changer and a veteran that can really help the younger kids progress. As for the opening poster......duh mcfadden would be a gr8 addition to any team but when your team goes the whole season with only one win you cant go into the draft trying to get some1 that would be a gr8 addition you need to go with your needs that would make your whole team better as a whole. And that all starts with your foundation....your O-line and D-line. If you can protect, you can run and throw. (John Beck isnt perfect but hes in the league for a reason) and if you can get pressure from your D-line you can get better coverage downfield and it gives your defense more flexibility.

Nah, I say Jake Long. You already have Ronnie Brown, who averaged 5.1 YPC before his season ending injury. He's 25 years old, and with an amazing OT, he can only get better right?

Or Chris Long. But definitely not McFadden.

There is no way they are taking McFadden Parcells is in town and he will be thing defense and nothing but. DE Chris Long, or Gholston is what I'm thinking he will take.

But as for who they should take... hmmmm no I'm sticking with Parcells if there was an offensive player I could see changing a team I'd pick that sure there is McFadden but they have a young Ronnie Brown who looked great before his injury so I think they are good in that area.
