No 7 Pick? WTF

I thought that the Pats was fined and lost a first round draft pick? If this is so how was they able to do what ever they did to get the 7 overall pick? They was caught cheating and should have to stick with the ruling and lose their right to a first round draft pick period. And no way should they be able to trade up, or anything else to get a first round draft pick. Especially one so high. What are your thoughts on this?

They did lose their first round pick, this one was accuried in a trade from the 49ers last season.

I understand they lost theirs, but with the what they did and the fine stating that they are not allowed to have a first round pick. I dont understand why they still are allowed to keep that one.

but last year they traded for ANOTHER TEAMS FIRST ROUND PICK
