This thread is courtesy of myself, on behalf of xxDa_Jokerxx's request for me to make an offical thread for the Titans... Personally i like the Titans, and what direction they are headed in... They just need WR's IMO... Also some O-Line help due to the fact Benji Olsen retired, and some help in the secondary...

couldnt agree with you more, no one can really argue with what your sayng, i think the titans are the Seattle Seahawks of the AFC, no matter how good they are (wins, talent, coaching) they will always fly under the radar. However with hope,harper,griffin and Finnegan (man) and hill (zone situations) i personally think they have there secondary woa's solved. and if i know the titans like i think they do they may go after one of dallas's o-linemen if they trade pacman jones.

I dont think Lendale is injury-prone just yet in his carrer so to even worry about that happenning should be dismised. i agree with how you think the team is all around, except i dont think you payed to much attention to that offensive line. We lost our best linemen in Benji Olsen and that will leave a huge void in that department for years to come. Just trying to get a discussion going here what do you think is the titans deepest of needs??..........
i mean obviously, the biggest void IS the wrs as of RIGHT now, during the season, that might change, i do still think that our line is good, but we did lose benjii, but we did make a really good sign with michael roos and i think he is pretty dang good. kevin mawae is still good. jacob bell david stewart fred matua are still good imo, we are probobly an average line now without olsen
Im excited about the upcoming season, but who is going to be our other starting guard alongside Jake Scott?
The Secondary will be good though. If Hope can recover from his Injury, he is a very overlooked Safety. Harper can cover the slower possesion receivers in the league, and I think that Griffin and Finnegan can only continue to improve. Our D-Line will still be nasty, I just wish we kept Odom or Laboy, either one wouldve been fine, but Im not Sure if Kearse can be an efficient run stopper. I really wish we couldve picked up a good receiver though although I think Gage and Williams will have decent seasons, but we still needed a playmaker out wide more than we needed Chris Johnson. I was hoping for Limas Sweed. either way though, I see playoffs for us again this year because I think the defense will be even nastier. It just might be another season of winning games 13-10.

the thing is, we went 10-6 last season WITH our crappy offense. It all got better in the offseason so i am so happy for us. and you never know how Jmac, paul williams, lavelle, and Chris davis will turn out.
This year will be a good year, not an easy year, but an easier year than last year.
We really needed a receiver though. I really wanted Limas Sweed. We havent had a good receiver since Derrick Mason was cut.

And plus he helps in the return game which is something the titans really need so they killed two birds in one stone with that pick...............Tennessee WR's(not including TE/RB's) had just has many recieving touchdowns has the chargers, broncos, and Reskins in 2007 so looking at the stat the titans probaly didnt feel the need to go out and get a WR back in the draft with thier first pick.......

CJ is the lighting and lendale is the thunder.......The Titans are just following the latest trend of winning in the NFL which is a good 1-2 punch @ RB...........as for VY he's gotta get compertable with Crumpler,McCarens and Hawkins if he wants to pass for more than 9 TD's this year!!!!, the titans may not have gone out and gotten a highly touted WR be it by Free agency or draft but they still improved and but together a good team in the offseason....not being biased but i expect the jags to be shocked like last years opening game (titans combined for 285 on the ground).
I think VY has capability of throwing more than 9 TDs...the question is, can he throw less than 17 INTs.

when the schedules 1st came out the titans looked like they had a hard shedule, but now since these teams like the bills and broncos r doing good and the colts, chargers, vikings, and the jags and other teams r strugglin it looks like we have an easy schedule. oh well thats how it is. our team does have amazing chemistry...they're like a group of 52 brothers who go out there and play their harts out each and every week. they give it their all and they always work for the better of the team....very unselfish play....never have i seen a group of guys play any better together and understand each other any better then our current titans squad...

Titans fans listen up. I know nothing good comes out of losing and what not.
Look at this loss this way, though. You have a young team with little playoff experience. Good thing you have a good coach in Fisher who keeps these guys head on right. Anyways, making it to the playoffs is a big achievement itself, making the playoffs with an undefeated record is amazing. Thing is, that's a lot of pressure on a team. They don't have to worry about going undefeated anymore which is a good thing because that will keep them from looking ahead. Imagine ending up like the Pats last year. They will be talked about for years as a laughing stock. Be happy your team won't.

The Titans are on a fast track to the playoffs this year, in a personal opinion. They need to work Vince Young in more, get some runs and rollouts working. They could be a dominantly convincing play action team with their backs.
They got a few WR's in the off season so I only see good things happening for them from here.
