Great news! Rod Smith gone, Lynch gone...now if B.Marshall would just punch another TV screen with the other arm the Raiders should finish second in the division.

Second? No, the Chiefs are still better than the Raiders, since they actually had a good draft to address their needs. 3rd place, if Marshall does in fact manage to slip on another McDonald's bag and break his other arm. But then again, Mike Shanahan is too good of a coach to let his team be worse than the Raiders. Therefore, the Raiders will still place 4th in the AFC West.

It's not like Al Davis spending $255 million during the offseason automatically makes the Raiders playoff contenders, which is what you're implying when they place 2nd in the division.

The Ravens were a fluke team, that's all that matters. In my opinion, that is. And I respect yours, so let bygones be bygones.

I'm a die hard Raider fan but in no way am I implying they are automatically playoff contenders. I clearly didn't say that. Saying we'll finish 8-8 in the AFC will not get you in the playoffs. Are they better then the cheifs? Yes I believe they are. Yes did we over pay alot of people to join the raiders? Yes we did IMO. What do you expect? When you've finished 4-12 and have one of the worst run organizations in professional sports you HAVE to over pay to get talent to come and play. No one would be willing to take a pay cut to come to Oakland and play.
You have your opinion...and that's just what it is...YOUR opinion. But you'll see....If we can somehow stop the run this year our D should be pretty good. On offensive the Raiders were 6th in the league in rushing. Going into the season with a rookie starting QB(pretty much a rookie) the rushing offense will be Russell's best friend.
Anyway have to wait and see but after the season we'll see who's right. :-)

Did you honestly just say that the raiders are going to be number 2 in AFC west? They'll be lucky to win 7 games this season. Wow you got Jamarcus Russel and Darren McFadden. Yay a winning season...NOT!
