I want to make a HB in superstar mode and I get under 5 secs on 40 and like 9 to 12 on bench press but in the HB challenge I do really bad and get like a 70 something or 60 something overall. How can I make a good HB and what type should he be?

You can either take the terrible ratings and play with him for awhile and watch the score go up by playing well ( winning ) -- or you can get better at the HB Challenge.

The results I've gotten so far was a 4.58s run, 9 bench presses, and 91,000 points in the challenge and that was a base rating of 90 -- -- and another I had a 5.09s run, 7 bench presses, and a 30,000 in the HB challenge for an 84'ish

spin is really effective this year...if your going against a hard hitter or brick wall defener..i would advise to use spin cause thats pretty much the only way your going to get around those weapons

Well what type HB should i make. And what heppens if i have to go against 2 defenders cause that happens all the time.

umm well i know in 08 what i did was spin and press on the the direction pad the other way the defenders were going so hed spin and kind of head the other way alittle and then the defenders would have to reverse there field alittle and try and catch him but hed outrun them ..so there the idea..try and make your running back cut them off somehow and make the defenders reverse there field and they shouldn't have time to catch up to you..and id try a speed back..well i guess they call it a scat back like last year..same thing..lol

hmm im not sure..i never used balanced..but if you want to be able to cut off and go the other direction you want a fast elusive back with alot of speed and elusiveness and accelaration

I once had a HB who ran a 4.33 with 4 bench reps and like 91,000 points in the running back challenge. My superstar was a 93 OVRL and on the running back challenge just bounce it outside or cut back on the defenders if they over pursuit.

Maybe hes not an expert controller breaker

BTW the rb challenge is sooooooo easy just run up the middle and either juke to another dummy and run outside or just run outside. Ive got 236,000 on the wr challenge

Here's what I came up with after looking around today:

(Credit is due to youtube and various boards such as the guys on here.)

The Bench Press:

This appeared nearly impossible for me at first, but then after some research and an epiphany,it became much easier. Really, the minigame is about timing predominantly. First, focus onthe timing of your simultaneous thumbsticks. Make sure that on each rep, you press up until the bar is in the green, release, and then push them up again when the bar is in the blue.
This is what's stated in the game's description, but like others have said, you really have to time your presses and releases so that you think to do it right before the bar reaches the colored zones. My timing isn't perfect, but I started by letting go about a centimeter before it reached the colored zones. Now I'm trying to shave my reaction time down so I have fewer buzzes. However, I also realized that I was using the wrong bumpers - you should be clicking simultaneously both large bumpers repeatedly. Timing again becomes important, as you learn to release the sticks and then click away as soon as possible, only to stop and begin pushing up on the bar just before it hits the blue. Using this method, you should at least get 15 reps (my best after just a few minutes of trial and error).
