You play games to get coins to get coaches, playbooks, stadium, players, legendary players, etc. It's exactly like FIFA's UT last year, and that was addicting. Just an FYI, if you play the CPU, don't SuperSim. You lose almost all your coins earned.

just played today. beat someone 45-14 and only got 350 coins. Seems like it could be fun but takes to much time to actually have a good team

You can use Microsoft Points to buy coins though.

Whenever I play a game it says I lot connection with the Ultimate Team server. My first 5 games have done this and I don't know why.

It only takes about 4 or 5 dollars to get your self a solid team. Gold packs are like 50 MS points and that'll get you everything you need. It's impossible to be competitive unless you use some money. I had like 400 MS points, and that's the team I was able to get. Buy cards from the auction thing as well. I got the Colston and Welker ones for 700 points each and Mario Williams for 400.
